I had the privilege to be a part of saying good-bye and honoring the life of a lady that had an impact on many lives yet her name would not come up on a list of “who’s”. She lived her life out of love for the Lord, His Word, her family, her church and yes pastors. That is where I come in to the picture. I was her pastor, contractually for 10 years but in the heart … ever since the day I met her. She influenced my life and I believe that I influenced hers. It was based on the commonality that we had together. Love of the Lord, His Word, family and the church. For Edna, her big dream of God’s call on her life was rewarded when she breathed her last breath here and took in a breath of Heaven’s air there with the Lord. My prayer is that the Lord help me always to see those for whom I can influence for the Kingdom and accept with gratitude those He places in my life to influence me.
